NYX Matte Lipsticks: More bang for your POUT!

29 Feb

DIVAS!!! How fabulous are matte lipsticks?? Well, if done right, they can be a dream come true for us trendy chicks. I got my hands on a few of NYX’s Matte Lipsticks, and I must say, NYX still hasn’t dissappointed me.

For my first round of purchases of these lipsticks, I opted to go for the uber-girly route, PINKS, from pale to bold!

"Audrey" "Shocking Pink"

"Sweet Pink" "Tea Rose"

"Audrey" a pale pink shade

"Shocking Pink" a bright pink with a blue undertone

"Tea Rose" a soft pink with blue undertones

"Sweet Pink" true pink shade with blue undertone

Offering a well-rounded, range of shades, from the faintest of nudes to the deepest reds, the color pay off is amazing, and the staying power is quite impressive. This product does boast somewhat of it’s long wear ability, but after about an hour or so, the product does dim and fade a bit, especially through eating and drinking.

The lip shade glides on super smooth, the consistancy starts off creamy, the color is highly pigmented (dab on or swipe on to control the intensity), and it “sets” to a supple, matte finish (retails for $6.00).
The price points are definitely noteworthy, especially since there is a high chance of swiping some quality dupes for your favorite higher priced, department store brands.
Need a MAC for Nicki Minaj lipstick fix, for a fraction of the cost? Try NYX Matte Lipstick in “Summer Breeze”. It’s not an exact dupe, Nicki’s new shade has more coral-undertones to it, but it’s a close second! Dab on a little NYX Matte Lipstick in “Indie Flick” and that should make a perfect mix of corals and pinks! MUAH!

You can definitely try NYX Matte Lipstick in “Pure Red” or “Perfect Red” to ease your MAC “Ruby Woo” need. Stunning reds!

Overall, I think you should give these lipsticks a try. It performs as advertised for a great price!
